Electric cars are nice people mainly due to ecological dimension. Bought by them but only if it would be cheaper than conventional cars. As the survey showed E.ON, consumers in electric vehicles bothers mainly short range, long charging time or loose network of charging stations. According to experts, but it's a myth, or at least inaccurate. Range with the last five years has doubled and operation of electric vehicles is cheaper than a normal car.Long charging time
Slower recharging charges 38% of respondents to electric cars. The average recharge time of an electric car is based on a number of variables such as battery capacity, electric vehicle type, or yearly. Impact on charging time also has charger type. The electric car can be charged at home from a socket, however charging with a low power consumption is long, lasting on average about 6 to 8 hours. Faster charging allows fast charging stations. "They typically have a power input of over 50 kW and charge the electric vehicle within 30 to 60 minutes," says Miloslav Fialka (E.ON).
Conflicts also exist in the case of operating costs of electric vehicles. More than half of the people surveyed have identified eco-transport as beneficial because it reduces harmful emissions, but only 10 percent said that electric cars are fueling low fuel costs. Cheaper traffic, however, according to experts, is a key advantage of electric cars. "There are many service and maintenance fees, from candles to the new exhaust. In terms of operating costs, they are lower, especially if you are recharging at home and you have access to a low rate. The ability to fill your car at home, very cheaply, is the biggest advantage of electric cars, " says Jan Horčík, editor-in-chief of Hybrid.cz magazine.
As the survey showed to elect electric cars, it would have to be cheaper than a regular car. Only 5 percent of consumers would pay for the purchase of electricity, but not more than 60 thousand crowns. Support for the purchase of electric cars also has subsidy programs, which are intended for municipalities and state entities. For individuals and citizens, no subsidy program was yet listed. But 41% of people would welcome state support. "Only the falling price of electric vehicles and subsidies, if any, will move the market with both electric vehicles and their charging," adds Miloslav Fialka.
People also charge a short range for electric cars. They would appreciate if the cars would run for 500 kilometers on a single charge. However, the reach distance of the cars to electricity is extended with each new generation. "While electrified vehicles took 100 to 150 kilometers ago five years ago, today's average range is around 200 to 300 kilometers. The exception is the Tesla models, which have a range of more than 400 kilometers per charge, " says Jan Horčík.
Behind the development of electromobility, people also indicate a low number of charging stations. However, the network of fast-charging stations is still growing. In the Czech Republic there are already over 300 recharging stations, but the minimum of fast charging stations. It is therefore necessary to encourage their creation especially around the main moves. Electricity companies are counting on long-term energy companies that invest in the construction of fast-charging stations. "We are now realizing and preparing investments in two subsidized projects aimed at installing stations in transport sites across the Czech Republic," says Fialka.
The fact that the number of electric vehicles and charging stations should increase should also show trend curves. "The switch to electromobility will not be dizzy, the car is not a product that we would change every three or four years. Today, electromobiles offer so many advantages over combustion engines that the change is inevitable, "concluded Jan Horčík.
